While the Cobar Roosterettes were beaten 38-20 by Narromine in the Castlereagh League Tag qualifying semi final match at Dunedoo on Saturday, their finals hopes aren’t yet dashed.

The Cobar girls will get another shot of advancing in the competition this Sunday when they take on Baradine (who beat Coonamble in their elimination semi final game last Sunday).

Despite this week’s loss, Cobar can take a few positives out of Saturday’s game, including a much better second half performance when they outpointed Narromine 12-10, and an improved overall result in the final score from their last two encounters.

Roosterettes’ talented fullback Sarah Morley crossed for a double in Saturday’s semi final with Brianna Watson and captain/coach Kayla Hasson scoring a try each for Cobar. Watson added another four points to their final tally with her two successful conversions.
