Wait A While lived up to their team name last Thursday night in the local Squalleyball competition when they finally scored their long awaited first game win.
Wait A While took the first game from Team Baz convincingly 21-11 in their Round 7 match last week.
That winning feeling was however short lived with Team Baz finding their feet in the next three games to finish with easy 21-9 and
21-13 wins along with a narrow 22-20 victory in Game 4.
Wait A While weren’t giving up and put every ounce of energy they had into winning the last game, 21-16.
Team Baz however finished as the overall match victors, 3-2.
Kamikaze Pilots, having won their matches in the previous four weeks, crashed and burned in their Round 7 match last week up against BNB.
BNB triumphed in the first three games,
21-16, 21-19 and 21-14 before the Pilots glided in to a hard fought win of the fourth game, 24-22.
BNB bounced back in the last game, winning 21-17, and taking the match honours
4-1.
Orphans were once again left out in the cold suffering their fourth loss in a row in the competition.
Last week’s loss came at the hands of Whatever.
Orphans had started the night strongly and were triumphant in the first game 21-15.
They couldn’t however maintain that opening pressure in the next four games which all went the way of Whatever, 21-14, 21-12,
21-7 and 21-17, which ensured Whatever finished the night with a 4-1 win.
