Don Roberts, Kyle Roberts and Doug Hudson were the winners of the 2025 Club Triples Championship bowls final played on Sunday at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club.

The trio soundly defeated Gerard Livingston, Craig ‘Duck’ Grimmond and Bian Smith by a margin of +16.

Play ceased early due to rain, and as Team Roberts’ lead was so significant, Team Grimmond conceded an insurmountable loss.

Thanks to the warmer weather now Friday Twilight Bowls has returned to the Golfie.

John and Karen Daly, along with team mates Belinda Walkley and Dax Branford won the night with a +7 victory against Greg Clark, Andrew Reilly, and father and son, Rex Hunt and Angus Hunt.

Angus Hunt showed plenty of promise,

He managed to ‘chalk it up’ quite a few times and he had at least one bowl in the count on numerous occasions.

The Twilight Jackpot prize stands at $575.

Karen Daly played double Lead for the fours game at Saturday’s Social Bowls event.

She led Doug Hudson, Greg Clark and Paul Kershaw to a win over her husband John ‘Shark’ Daly, Jesci Clark/ and Andrew Reilly.

Despite Team Hudson maintaining a good lead for three quarters of the game, it turned out to be a close finish with Team Hudson finishing as eventual victors by +2.

A field of 16 avid bowlers took to the greens on Sunday morning for Social Bowls and among them were a few bowlers getting in some practice for their afternoon Triples final.

Alec Fraser and Karen Daly won the day by a big margin with their 28 points against John Daly and Andrew Reilly.

The runners-up on +7 were Ian Prendergast and Peter ‘Skeet’ Goonrey who had a win in their match with Gerard Livingston and Jesci Clark. Next on +4 were Greg Clark and Bian Smith who beat Craig ‘Duck’ Grimmond and Rory Dunlop.
