Cobar Roosterettes finished as 40-12 winners over Coonabarabran in their Castlereagh League Tag Round 3 game on Saturday at Tom Knight Memorial Oval.
They dominated most of the first half and had clocked up 24 points before the Coonabarabran visitors could make any inroads on the scoreboard.
Taylah Good scored a hat-trick of tries with Kaylah Hasson-Williams, Bridgette Negfeldt, Aisha Schofield and Brianna Watson adding a try each to Cobar’s tally.
Watson also had a near perfect day with the boot and only missed one of her seven conversion attempts. Watson’s impressive efforts throughout the match earned her the referee’s Best & Fairest three points with Coonabarbran’s Sal Deshan collecting two points and Good picked up one point.
The win puts the Cobar side in equal second place on the ladder with Narromine, Dunedoo and Baradine with all four teams on seven points.
Coolah, with an unbeaten run, sits at the top of the table with nine points.
The Roosterettes will meet a winless Gilgandra team this Saturday in Round 4 of the competition.
