Cobar Yabbies Senior Men’s Swimming Club event last week recording first, second and third placings.
A new swimmer to the club this season, Christen has set the bar high and is a strong contender for the Setts One Night Stand award. The award goes to a swimmer who records the narrowest margin over three events in one night.
Last week Christen finished just 0.31 seconds outside his nominated times in the 100m, 50m and 30m swims.
He won the 100 metres freestyle handicapped swim with 0.19 seconds off his nominated time. John Claus finished in second spot with 0.32 and Andrew Watts was back in third place with 0.97.
Christen, with 0.09, finished second to Matt Harland (0.03) in the 50m swim while Murray Harland was just behind in third place on 0.10.
Despite recording a very good time of 0.03 seconds off his nominated time in the 30m swim, Christen was relegated to third place after Claus and Bill Fugar tied for first place when both swam spot on their nominated times.
Claus also finished as the winner of the Brace Relay breaststroke/sidestroke across the pool novelty event, when he teamed up with Watts. They finished within 0.55 seconds of their combined nominated time.
Murray Harland and Bob Clark (0.87) were second and Christen once again made the podium finishing in third place with Cameron van Breugel on 1.44.
