A group of landholders attended a wild dog information session at Nullogoola Station last week to refresh their skills and knowledge in the behaviours of wild dogs and wild dog management techniques. The session was coordinated by Western Local Land Services (Western LLS) and run by Stuart Boyd-Law, Pest Animal Control and Training, along with Western LLS biosecurity officers to provide advice and answer questions. The session was a mix of theory and practical, with the landholders given demonstrations in wild dog traps and trapping techniques. All participants found the day valuable and now have more confidence in looking for wild dog activity and controlling pest animals on their property. The wild dog session at Nullogoola Station was one of five held across the Western region last week (with one session cancelled due to rain).
