Travelling Rotary billboard is heading around Australia

Peter Brown, a Rotarian from Caboolture, is travelling around Australia in his “mobile billboard” promoting the good work that Rotary clubs do in our communities

Peter Brown, from the Caboolture Rotary Club in Queensland, is currently driving around Australia promoting the good work that Rotary Clubs do in our communities.

Mr Brown, along with the Caboolture Rotary Club and various other Rotary clubs around Australia, created his vehicle to be a mobile billboard.

Travelling by himself and towing his beloved Harley motorcycle, Mr Brown’s trip around Australia also coincides with 100 Years of Rotary celebrations in Australia.

He overnighted in Cobar on Sunday and caught up with local Rotarian Gordon Hill to hear about the good work the Cobar club has been doing.

Mr Brown said he was delighted to hear that Cobar’s club is very active in the community, despite only being a small club of 11 members.

Mr Brown has had to re-organise his schedule a number of times due to changes to COVID-19 border restrictions but over the next year he plans to make a number of trips of 7-8 weeks duration to criss-cross the country and spread the word about Rotary.

On Monday he was heading off to Broken Hill and then into South Australia to continue his promotion of Rotary Clubs of Australia
