The new Girl Guides Hall in Maidens Avenue was officially opened on Saturday morning by deputy mayor Peter Abbott. Cr Abbott was very impressed with the complete renovation of the former Council Ward Oval gatekeepers cottage and said he believed the Guides would be very happy in their new home. The refurbishment project has been jointly funded by the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund Round 2 and Cobar Shire Council.
