The Rotary Club of Cobar has assisted the Cobar Cadet Unit by providing funds to install a Solar Lighting System at the Cadet Drill Hall.

Cobar Rotary Club President Tony Punzet said the club had been successful in obtaining a Rotary District Grant which the club then matched on a dollar for dollar basis.

The grant, worth almost $1,000, was used to install a solar lighting system in the cadet storage shed and security lighting in the hall toilet area.

Mr Punzet said this is the second District Grant the Cobar Rotary Club has been successful with this year with an earlier grant used to purchase a Kiddi Sink hand washing station for special needs students at Cobar Public School.

“The Rotary Club of Cobar is pleased to be able to again assist another worthwhile community group in Cobar,” Mr Punzet said.

“Cobar Rotary Club is only a small club but is doing what it can to make Cobar a better place to live.”
