Cobar Junior Soccer Club was the beneficiary of the $250 prize on offer at the Cobar Athletics & Triathlon Squad’s (CATS) 2026 Team Challenge event on Sunday.
Harry’s Hardcore team of Harry Franks and Isaac Theakston, representing the Cobar Junior Soccer Club, were the winners of the Copper City Tyre Service sponsored Triathlon Teams Challenge.
Harry and Isaac were just 0.07 of a second outside their nominated time for the 300m swim/10km ride/2km run Short Course.
Isaac completed the swim and run legs and Harry did their ride with the pair finishing with a combined time of 35.00.07.
Coming in second was Team Gumnutz, consisting of Kasalia Fakahua, Trudy Griffiths and Riki Schaumkell who nominated 46 minutes and finished in 46.21 (which would have won them the Cup any other day).
