Forbes rider takes home four titles from Cobar Show

Despite the 52mm of rain recorded in town on Friday, the equestrian events at this year’s Cobar Show all still went ahead.

Rain interrupted the Aurelia Metals two day program, but all events were still held, albeit some with delayed starts.

Brooke Kelly from Forbes had a very successful competition winning the Supreme Led Breed Horse of the Show, Supreme Ridden Breed Horse of the Show, the Supreme Ridden Show Hunter and Supreme Rider of the Show titles.

Michael Christie (from Sydney) won the Supreme Hack of the Show award.

Elise Smith from Bourke was the Supreme Champion Ridden Local Hack Rider on Friday.

Declan Sharpe won the Allan and Cecilia Wells Memorial Award for an Outstanding Effort by a Local Rider
