Cobar Netball Association rewards its 2023 achievers

The Cobar Netball Association finalised their 2023 senior competition on Saturday with their end of season awards.

The season’s Best and Fairest player was Brianna Watson from the Nymagee Magpies while Divas’ Amanda Fugar received the Sportsmanship award.

Divas collected the premiers’ trophies while The Tooth Fairies earned the title of the Friendliest Team this season.

Former player and long standing umpire, Sue Francisco was awarded Life Membership and Haylee Prince collected the Larni Keen Club Person of the Year award.

The 2023 Players’ Player from each team were: Brianna Watson (Nymagee Magpies), Sosie Barton (Pumpettes), Cairo Haronga (Pink Galahs), Stevie Toomey (JKM Dynamic Fitness), Ros Lancaster (Tooth Fairies) and Lauren Urquhart (Divas).

In the Juniors Intermediate competition, Sosie Barton was named the competition’s Players’ Player and also the Most Dedicated Player.

Sarah Nicholson and Molly Broughton shared the Coaches Award while Rori Urquhart was named the Player with the Most Potential.
