Barry Knight’s latest community project, a Poppy Fence on the Open Cut which honours Cobar’s men and women who served in all conflicts, was installed last week by Marty Roots and Lance Hall from Simmo Signs in Dubbo with help from Laura Barnes (Aurelia Metals). Aurelia Metals along with Manuka Resources and the Rotary Club of Cobar have helped to fund the project. The fence will be officially opened on August 13 by Army Major Matthew Sullivan OAM CSM (Barry’s nephew). See advertisement on Page 12 for more details of the official opening.
