Staff are first to get the vaccine

Dr Afshin headed up the local Cobar Primary Health Care Centre (CPHCC) COVID-
19 vaccination team that began administering vaccinations in Cobar last week.
Among the first to receive the dose as part of phase 1b of the Department of Health’s
vaccination program were CPHCC staff members, including practice nurse, Sandy
Negfeldt, pictured above with Dr Afshim. The centre is now taking bookings for
vaccinations for eligible members of the public under phase 1b, which includes:
people aged 70 and over; healthcare workers; critical and high risk workers;
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 55 years and over; and adults with
an underlying medical condition or disability.
