Cobar Services Club employee Kelly Van Dam swapped cocktails for clippers on Sunday to take part in this year’s Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave.
Kelly had her hair shaved off and is now rockin’ a new very, very short ‘do.
She’s also raised more than $1,700 to help over 150,000 Australians that are facing the devastating impact of blood cancer and the 17 people who lose their life every day to Leukaemia.
“It’s a good cause,” Kelly told The Cobar Weekly.
“There are a few people in my family that have died from Leukaemia, and I have some health issues that can later on turn into blood cancer, so for me it’s personal.”
Kelly had a goal to raise $1,000 and she’s thrilled to have exceeded that.
Kelly said she was very appreciative to everyone who donated and supported her.
