Junior Roosters record some good wins over Nyngan Tigers

The Cobar Roosters Under 6s big mobile pack of Lucas Davey, Roman Waugh, Archie Fugar, Lenny Hill, Corey Martin, Ollie Tranter, Murph Ellison and Hudson Simon after their game against the Nyngan Tigers on Saturday morning in Nyngan.

The Cobar Roosters Junior Rugby League teams travelled to Nyngan on Saturday with their Mini players joining the Under 9s to Under 16s sides to contest Round 12 of the Dubbo and District Junior Rugby League competition.
The Roosters Under 16s won their match with Nyngan 30-20 with the Coaches Award going to Joe Webster and Nicholas Hodges was their Player’s Player.
Jayden Paul (2), Tadhg McMullen (2) and Nicholas Hodges (2) ran in tries for Cobar with Tadhg McMullen (2) and Jayden Paul kicking their team’s conversions.
In the Under 12s game, Cobar finished with a 30-16 win over the Nyngan Tigers with tries for Cobar scored by Lachlan Brookman, Row-dy Barton, Eli Martin, Billy George, Aiden Hyland and Clay McDonald.
Their conversions were kicked by Rowdy Barton, Billy George and Aiden Hyland.
William Davis Manns collected the Coaches Award while Clay McDonald was named Play-ers’ Player.
The Under 14s lost their match 30-10 to Nyngan.
Jaxon Burke and Axel Fairfull were Cobar’s try scorers and while Tim Eves kicked one goal.
Brayden Kreeck was named the Under 14s Players’ Player and Zaiden Saunders earned their Coaches Award.
The Cobar Under 10s were just beaten 32-28 in the close encounter with Billy Watt (2), Tommy George (2), Eligh Ritter and Lucas Townsend scoring tries while Tommy George and Eligh Ritter booted the goals.
Thomas Knight was awarded Players’ Player while the Coaches Award went to Tommy George.
In the Under 9s game, the Players’ Player honour went to Hugo Josephson while Brock Eves received the Coaches Award.
In the Mini’s games, the Under 6 awards went to Roman Waugh and Corey Martin.
Ford Ellison and Ashton Hyland earned the Under 7 team awards while Harlym Curtis and Nixon Small took home the awards for the Under 8s division.
The Under 11s sat out this week with a bye in the competition.
The Cobar club will host Narromine this Saturday at Tom Knight Memorial Oval in the final game of the regular competition.
