Junior netball celebrates players’ achievements

Cobar Junior Netball celebrated the achievements made by players over the 2022 season at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club on Sunday afternoon.
Cobar Junior Netball committee member Jo Carter said the skill development of play-ers improved throughout the season, as did learning to work as a team, all while having fun and building positive relationships on the court.
All Net Set Go players received participant certificates and medals while Junior players received participation certificates.
In the Net competition, the Most Improved was Samuel McKervey with the Coach’s Award going to Charlotte Dean.
The Most Improved in the Set group was Hallie Deppeler with Jacob McKervey col-lecting the Coach’s Award.
In the Go division, the Most Improved was Clair Cousins with the Coach’s Award earned by Myah Paul.
The Junior Award recipients were: Most Improved—Charlotte Knight; Players with Most Potential—Pearl Blackburn and Jaxon Burke; Most Valuable Player—Ethan McLeod and Most Consistent Player—Jordan Bain-Meadows.
Ethan McLeod was acknowledged by Hunter Boys team from Newcastle, for his commitment and participation in the team at Junior State Titles.
The Cobar representative U12s and U14s teams received medals for their participation in Regional Carnivals.
The U14s team also received their runners-up certificate from the Forbes Netball Carni-val.
The help over the season from all volun-teers, coordinators and coaches was acknowledged.
