Cobar junior league teams will next month be back on the paddock playing in a modified Dubbo & District Junior Rugby League competition.
Cobar Junior Rugby League president Simone Knight reports a 2020 competition will go ahead despite the Dubbo City and Wellington clubs both pulling out this season.
The Cobar committee met on Saturday to look at player numbers and finalise teams.
“We are going all even ages from Under 6 to Under 16s,” Mrs Knight said.
She said they will need additional help from parents this season in order to run a competition in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
“There will be additional jobs with
signing in/out and sanitisation processes,” she said.
The club is still taking registrations.
“We could always do with more kids, so this year would be a perfect time to try if you’ve always been interested as it’s a short competition.
“We will have an eight week competition and should be four home and four away games.”
NSW Government health restrictions permit training to start at the beginning of next month and the competition will kick off two weeks later.
