Fay Hardwick and Peter ‘China’ Brien were the winners of the Ladies and Men’s Nutrien Russell sponsored Stableford events contested on Saturday

Sixteen golfers fronted the starter on Saturday for the Men’s Golf Nutrien Russell sponsored Stableford event.
Men’s Golf captain Peter ‘China’ Brien was the winner of the day with 37 stableford points and Mark Fraser claimed second place with 36 stableford points.
Alec Fraser finished third on a countback from Scott Mayne after both finished with 35 stableford points. Peter Robinson was back in 5th place with 34 stableford points.
Nearest to the Pin (NTP) prizes were won by Brien (3rd hole), Robinson (7th), Peter Lawrence (8th), Alec Fraser (11th) and Max Phil-lips won the 15th hole.
There was another good roll up on Sunday with 15 players taking part in the Stableford event.
Stewart Fraser, with 37 stableford points, was the winner on the day ahead of Jason Hampel with 35 stableford points.
Mark Fraser pipped Max Phillips on a count-back for third place with both finishing with 33 stableford points.
NTPs were won by Phillips on the 3rd hole and Tim Coupe on the 15th.
This Saturday the Herford Cup will be played in a Four-Ball-Best-Ball Versus Par format.
The Epiroc sponsored Cobar Open will be played on Sunday over 27 holes.
