A Golden Years Games afternoon was recently held for seniors at the Cobar Youth and Community Centre.

The fun event was organised by the Cobar Youthie kids with prizes, afternoon tea, good company and a trophy on offer for the winner.

A large group of seniors turned up keen to compete for the Golden Years Games trophy.

Senior competitors were teamed up with  youngsters who were there to train, cheer and assist them through the games.

The purple ‘Ninja’ team of Laura Sime and Holland Chaplain were victorious, decimating their opposition in Pictionary Playdough and making an excellent paper aeroplane that they threw beautifully to hit the target!

While there can only be one winner of the prestigious Golden Years Trophy, everyone enjoyed participating.

The activity aimed to unite the kids with the wider community, in particular our seniors, and brought joy to everyone involved.
