The Cobar Roosterettes have commenced the 2025 Castlereagh League Tag competition with a hard fought 18-14 win over Warren at Warren on Saturday.

The very wet Round 1 game was a see-sawing match with neither side able to take the upper hand until the late stages of the match when Cobar claimed the four point win.

Taylah Good was a stand-out for Cobar scoring 10 of their points with her two tries and one conversion.

Kayla Hassan-Williams also crossed for a try and Brianna Watson landed two goals.

Best and Fairest points went to Taylah Good (3), Bridgette Negfeldt (2) and Sosie Barton (1).

Good was also voted as the team’s Players Player for the match.
