Local darts player Tony Brown has returned from the 45th Australian Darts Championships in Perth following an impressive performance on the WA boards.
Following his top 32 finish in the Pacific Masters competition on Day 1, Brown had a big week of competition competing in singles, doubles and mixed doubles matches, as well as a state versus state team final.
In the Men’s Singles competition, Brown finished in the Top 32 with a very good three-dart average of 77.22 (which is regarded as an advanced level in the sport).
Brown teamed up with Brad Johnson (Newcastle player) for the Men’s Doubles and the pair also finished in the Top 32.
In the Mixed Doubles competition, Brown partnered with Melissa Harrison (a state and national team member from Clarence Valley) and they finished in the Top 64.
Representing NSW in the Men’s Teams Event, NSW finished in 5th place with Queensland taking the 2026 title with Victoria finishing as runners-up.
