Cobar Shire Council will spend $50,000 of their NSW Government Resources for Regions Round 7 funding on a plan to upgrade Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool.
The funding will enable Council to engage a suitably qualified and reputable consultant to undertake and deliver a business case study for investigating the upgrade of the ageing infrastructure at the Cobar Memorial Swimming Pool.
NSW Nationals Upper House MP, Sam Farraway announced the funding on Monday.
The business case study will focus on the main pool which also is beyond its economic life with tiling chipped, dated and requires a refurbishment also; upgrades to the main building including toilet/ change room/ shower area, Kiosk and clubhouse, the provision of more site storage, improvements for disability access, and first aid room, office/ staff room.
