
The men’s golf Bill Bartlett Memorial Trophy Four-Ball-Best-Ball event on Sunday was played in inclement conditions.
Handling the conditions the best were the winners, Bill Fugar and Peter ‘China’ Brien, who were keen to get their hands on this much sought after trophy.
Brian Russ and Jacob Wilson finished as the runners-up ahead of Max Phillips and Rob Cummins in third place.
Nearest the Pin prizes went to China on the 3rd hole, Will Lawton on the 8th hole and Max Phillips on the 15th.
Golfers acknowledged Barb Bartlett’s sponsorship of this event over the past 16 years.
The P & R Lawrence Three Man Ambrose event was contested on Saturday and had a great roll up of 33 players.
It was won by the Frasers, Alec, Mark and Stewart, on 58 1/6 nett closely followed by Scott Mayne, Ben McBride and Kody Ford on 58 1/3 nett.
Nearest to the Pin prizes were won by Alec Fraser on the 3rd hole, Will Lawton on the 7th , Bayley Prendergast (8th), Brennan Auckett (11th) and Max Phillips won the 15th.
Super Vet, Max Phillips shot his age (77) off the stick in the Stableford competition held on Wednesday.
Phillips won the event by two shots with a stableford score of 39 points from Lochie Ford on 37 points.
Nearest to the Pin prizes went to Sean Bayliss on the 3rd hole, Will Lawton on the 8th hole and Ron Craw on the 15th.
