A number of local events that had to be cancelled or postponed by the COVID pandemic are now starting to take place, including the St Lawrence O‘Toole’s Catholic community’s celebrations to mark their parish priest’s 40th anniversary as a priest. The church’s previous plans to celebrate Fr Paul Finucane’s milestone were put on hold in August as public health orders restricted public gatherings. Belated celebrations were held on Sunday when Fr Paul was joined by members of the congregation for lunch at the Cobar Bowling & Golf Club
