The Cobar Junior Soccer 2015 season came to an end on Saturday after grand final games were played and end of season presentations were made.

United were winners of the Mids division, Rangers grabbed the title in Seniors while The Broken Scorpions were the winners of the Open title.

In the Mids Division United beat Liverpool 4-1 in a very tough game. United’s goals were scored by Ryan Urquhart (2), Attila Csicsovszki (1) and one own goal. Liverpool’s point came from an own goal.

In the play off for 3rd and 4th place, Rovers beat The Roar 8-6.

In the Seniors grand final Rangers finished strongly to beat Spurs 8-4 with all of Rangers’ eight goals scored by Braith Good. Spurs’ goals were netted by Conor McMullen (2), Annie Mugugia (1) and Victor Mfoi (1).

In the Opens grand final Broken Scorpions dominated The Relics to win 8-2.

Broken Scorpions’ goals were scored by Jay Coburn (1), Tom Edgar (2), Aaron Finn (1) Brock Ford (3) and one own goal. Jade Buckman scored both The Relics’ goals.

In the Open division play-offs, Team 3 were smashed by Stripped Bear with a massive 14-2 win.

End of season presentations followed the matches with Most Improved, Sportsmanship, Encouragement and Best Skills awards presented in each team.

The Club Person of The Year awards went to Angela Shepherd (senior) and Will Griffiths (junior).

The Minis also played their last games of the year and were presented with participation awards.
