A Double Header night was played in the Fast5 netball competition last Tuesday night at Ward Oval with rounds 4 and 5 both being played.

Rusty Snails finished the night with two wins.

They accounted for Fast Fobs 45-16 in their first game and then went on to beat the Lillies 53-7 in their Round 5 match up.

From those games, Ethan McLeod (Rusty Snails) was twice named as Rusty Snails’ Favourite Fiver while Cairo Haronga earned the title for Fast Fobs and Graham Manuai was Lillies’ Favourite Fiver (as determined by their opposition).

In the other game results from last week, Mixed & Matched beat Peak Gold Bars
43-24 in Round 4 while Fast Fobs got the better of Peak Gold Bars to win their Round 5 game by a big margin of 40-26.

The Favourite Fivers were: Sarah Nicholson (Mixed & Matched), Sean Fitzgerald (Peak Gold Bars), Madasan Taylor (Fast Fobs) and Zac McCombes (Peak Gold Bars).

Two Supershots (three point goals) were scored last week with one netted by Ethan McLeod for Rusty Snails while Madasan Taylor (Fast Fobs) was responsible for the other three pointer.

The competition has now reached the halfway point with all teams having played each other once.

Mixed & Matched lead the competition with 12 points while Rusty Snails are just behind on 10 points.

In third place are Fast Fobs with eight points followed by Lillies with six and Peak Gold Bars have a total of four points.
