Juniors display some great skills

Close games were again the order of the day at the Junior Touch competition on Thursday at Ward Oval.
Carrot Chew won 7-6 over the GOATS while Blueys beat Electric Eels 6-4 in the Jun-iors games.
Carrot Crew eventually finished as one point winners in their narrowly contested game last week with GOATS.
Rowdy Barton scored an incredible four tries with Jaxon Waugh, Mitch Allen and Skyla Fairfull also stand-out players in this match.
Blueys just got the better of Electric Eels to win their game 6-4 with Parker Cryer having an outstanding game to collect Best & Fairest points.
Nate Martin was hard to catch and scored three tries and Megan Guirin also showed some style to touch down for the girls.
Sosie Barton and Lara Stephens both were fantastic in providing quality support play.
In the Seniors division Stingers and the Mighty Red Roosters couldn’t be split last week having a 5-all draw.
Ethan McLeod picked up the game’s Best & Fairest points and Ava Fullagar and Oisin McMullen had quality games for their sides.
A highlight of the game was Molly Carter scoring a great try after a super effort in attack.
In the other Seniors game, Blue Heelers defeated Green Machine 8-6 in a match where the lead changed a number of times through-out.
It was Sophie Clark’s two tries which proved to be the ultimate difference and gave her Blue Heelers team the win.
Jaxon Burke was absolutely outstanding in attack and held his own up against the older players.
Troy Robinson also had a solid game in defence showing his improved touch skills.
