St John’s students, staff and families joined the 22nd National Simultaneous Story Time (NSS) last Wednesday at the school. This year’s story was ‘Family Tree’ by Josh Pyke. NSS is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association to promote the value of reading and literacy. One Australian book is chosen each year to be read simultaneously all over the country. As part of the celebrations at St John’s, students dressed up in their favourite colours from the story and completed activities throughout the day. Pictured are students Hayley Carstens, Ariella Nardi, Ella Armstrong, Liam Cain and Xavier Foster with teacher Jessica Fugar.
