A squad of eight Cobar Swimming Club members competed at the Nyngan Swimming Carnival on Sunday.
The Cobar swimmers competed against some well seasoned swimmers and came away with excellent results with a dozen personal best (PBs) times recorded by the Cobar swimmers.
Haidyn Davey finished with four new PBs in her six years age division to finish with a second and two third places.
Big sister Milla Davey also recorded four PBs competing in the nine years and all ages girls events.
Swimming in the 11 years and all ages categories, Zaiden Saunders had three PBs for the day (including a seven seconds improvement in backstroke) and collected a third place prize.
Nick Hodges recorded a PB for the day and also picked up third place in his 11/12 years and 12 years boys events.
Lilly Deppeler (seven years) came away with two thirds and Hayley Wyllie (seven years), Taylah Wyllie (eight years) and Alora Deppeler (10 years) all had excellent swims setting great times.
It was a great effort by the Cobar swimmers to swim some new distances at the Nyngan carnival.
Some also swam in events that are only offered once or twice a season by the Cobar club.
The Cobar training squads have only been up and running for a couple of weeks and without a coach, the Cobar kids did very well to achieve their great results.
