Mixed Indoor Soccer team Bayer Neverlosen won their match against M&C Parisi Floorboards team last Wednesday night at the Cobar Youth & Fitness Centre.

Bayer Neverlosen wrapped up the indoor soccer minor premiership after defeating their closest rivals M&C Parisi Floorboards on Wednesday night at Cobar Youth & Fitness Centre.

The win moved Bayer Neverlosen six points clear at the top of competition table and out of reach with only one week remaining in the regular season.

Neverlosen were on the back foot early when Floorboards scored in the opening minute of the game.

The two teams went goal for goal for the remainder of the first half with Floorboards playing some sublime soccer to break down Neverlosen’s defence with Ben Turton netting twice and Shannon Purton once.

Neverlosen made the most of some scrappy play in front of Floorboards goal with Lydia Wells scoring twice and an own goal scored by Wade Potter.

Floorboards finish the first half like they started with Jason Foster scoring in the final minute to level the scores at 5-all going into the break.

The second half was the Daniel Howard show.

The competition’s leading goal scorer netted four goals in a masterful display to earn Neverlosen the win and minor premiership.

Robert Childs scored a late goal for Floorboards but Neverlosen won the match 9-6.

Brock Ford has kept his team Cobar Hotshots in contention for the finals after defeating Endeavor 3-2.

Ford scored all three goals for his team. Ford has scored 55 per cent of all Hotshots goals this season which is by far the biggest contribution of any player in any team.

Hotshots must beat Bayer Neverlosen tonight and hope that Floorboards beat Chain Reaction to make the finals.

Endeavor’s goals were scored by Alfred Mutale and John Sipendi.

Wii Not Fit and Chain Reaction have been swapping third and fourth position on the ladder since week three of the competition.

On Wednesday they got another chance to play each other.

Chain Reaction won their first encounter however Wii Not Fit proved too strong this time around winning 5-3 to move back into third position and also secure a finals birth.

Wii Not Fit set the win up in the first half with goals to Shane Eickenloff, Georgia Baker and Josh Brown helping them to a 4–nil lead at the break.

Chain Reaction scored three points in the second half with goals from Angela Shepard and Akwasi Amponsa but a second goal from Eickenloff secured the win for Wii Not Fit.—contributed
