City kids get a taste of the west

St Leo's pilgrimage Former Cobar Catholic parish priest Fr Paul Finucane was back in town on Friday night with a group of Year 10, 11 and 12 students from St Leo’s College in Sydney with Aboriginal liaison officer David Ella from the Broken Bay Diocese. The group spent the first night of their eight day outback pilgrimage tour in Cobar taking in the local sights and enjoying the Fort Bourke Hill look out over New Cobar mine. The group plans to adventure further west and explore Mt Grenfell, Broken Hill, Menindee Lakes, Lake Mungo and White Cliffs as part of their tour.
