Barry Knight’s latest community project, a Poppy Fence on the Open Cut which honours Cobar’s men and women who served in all conflicts, was installed last week by Marty Roots and Lance Hall from Simmo Signs in Dubbo with help from Laura Barnes (Aurelia Metals). Aurelia Metals along with Manuka Resources and the Rotary Club of Cobar have helped to fund the project. Ella Kilmartin, Lara Stephens and Bailey Robinson enjoyed watching all the action at the Cobar Rough Stock Rodeo on Saturday. Ella and Lara also competed in the Junior Barrel event with Ella placing third and Lara was 5th.
