Young Guns’ win over the UN sends them to the semis

Triples and Singles Club Championship bowls games were played on Sunday at the Golfie.

In the Triples competition the Young Guns team of Alec Fraser, Mark Fraser and Jay Egan scored a +15 win which moves them through to the semi finals. (The three, along with team mate Paul Kershaw, have already progressed to the Fours Championships semi finals.)

On Sunday they beat the UN team of Peter ‘China’ Brien, Aussie Shane Carter and Glen ‘Kiwi’ Ratcliffe who had started well and were leading by three shots by the third end.

That was however the last time they hit the front! The ‘Guns’ were ‘hot’ and a couple of four shot winning ends pretty much settled the matter in favour of the Guns… see this week’s edition for more bowls news.
