Cobar High School Year 12 students marked the end of their formal schooling on Friday.
School principal Shane Carter said it had been “an absolute joy and privilege for our school and staff to have had the opportunity to help mould you into the fine young people that you are today”.
“So, for now, enjoy the moment and take the time to reflect on the wonderful experiences that you have been fortunate enough to have encountered,” Mr Carter told students.
He encouraged them to make the most of the available time between now and the HSC ex-aminations to prepare and he said he looked forward to celebrating with students later this year at their Year 12 formal dinner.
State Member for Barwon, Roy Butler wished students well on Friday as they had their names marked off the roll for the last time. Mr Butler praised the Class of 2021 “for making it to the end of High School in what has been a far more challenging time than any-one could have anticipated”.
“You have all risen to the occasion and whether you have sprinted, strolled or just made it over the line – you have made it.”
