VIEW welcomes new committee

The Cobar VIEW Club held their annual general meeting last Wednesday with Brenda Coleman, Issie Pretty, Enid English, Anna Vlatko, Margaret Potter, Kate Winders, Carol Abbott and Val O’Brien the newly elected committee members.

The Cobar VIEW Club held their annual general meeting on Wednesday at the Empire Hotel with Margaret Potter returned to the president’s role.

Re-joining Mrs Potter on the committee were her vice presidents Enid English and Val O’Brien, secretary Kate Winders, treasurer Carol Abbott and assistant treasurer Caroline Bowman.

Mrs Potter welcomed Anna Vlatko as the group’s new assistant secretary, Brenda Coleman as program officer and Issie Pretty as assistant program officer.

There was a good attendance of members with 28 ladies enjoying the lovely luncheon provided by the Empire Hotel staff.

Member, Enid Coath was presented with her 20 years membership badge at last week’s meeting.

Mrs Potter also gave a special birthday mention to member Lesley Fryer who marked a milestone birthday last month.

VIEW stands for the Voice, Interests and Education of Women and is the leading women’s national volunteer organisation in Australia.
