The Cobar district has enjoyed widespread rain over the weekend with more than 50mm (two inches in the old scale) recorded at Cobar Meteorological Office.
The rain started on Saturday afternoon with Cobar recording 6.8mm to 9am Sunday, with a further 45mm falling to 9am Monday.
Bourke and Brewarrina both recorded just over 30mm for the weekend, Louth had a massive 71mm and Gambolalley Station officially reported 69mm.
There are also unofficial reports of more than 110mm recorded at Mount Gap Station, west of Cobar.
Temperatures were cool last week with a top of 20 degrees last Monday, the coolest day of the week, and 26 on Friday the warmest.
Generally sunny and cool conditions are expected this week with a chilly top of 17 degrees forecast today.
Tomorrow is expected to be mostly sunny with a top of 20 degrees after a low of eight.
Friday and Saturday are both expected to be partly cloudy reaching 22 degrees, while Sunday is also heading for a top of 22 with a mostly sunny day.
Light winds and sunshine are expected for Monday with a low of 12 degrees and only warming up to a top of 18.
