Success for St John’s swimming squad

St John’s School senior boys Clay McDonald, Aiden Hyland, Nate Martin and Ryder Anderson have all qualified to compete at the Wilcannia-Forbes Diocesan Swimming Carnival next week in Condobolin.

A squad of 13 swimmers from St John’s School have qualified to compete at the 2021 Wilcannia/Forbes Diocesan Swimming Car-nival next week in Condobolin.
The 13 qualifiers were part of a team of 21 St John’s swimmers who competed at the Cluster swimming carnival last Tuesday in Nyngan.
Among the qualifiers were the Senior Girls Relay team of Skyla Fairfull, Phoebe Travis, Rhylee Patterson and Halle Snudden and Sen-ior Boys Relay team which was comprised of Nate Martin, Ryder Anderson, Cohan Nichol-son and Clay McDonald.
St John’s swimmers who qualified in their individual events included: Rhylee Patterson—who finished 1st in her 12 years girls 50m breaststroke event; Aiden Hyland—1st 11 years boys 50m butterfly, 2nd 11 years boys 50m freestyle and 2nd 50m breaststroke; Ryder Anderson—1st 11 years boys 50m breast-stroke; Taylah Wyllie—2nd 10 years girls 50m freestyle, 3rd junior girls 50m butterfly and 3rd junior girls Individual Medley; Sophia Mat-thews—3rd 11 years girls 50m backstroke; Talas Burke—3rd 10 years boys 50m freestyle; Taj Goonrey—3rd 8 years boys 50m freestyle and 3rd junior boys 50m breaststroke; and Sky-la Fairfull—3rd 11 years girls 50m butterfly.
