The line-up for the Grey Mardi Gras Gig on the Grass concert this Saturday night at Ailsa Fitzsimmons Memorial Oval will appeal to all ages with a variety of music from different eras and genres.
One of the acts on the billboard is Amitie, a popular female vocal trio from Parkes who got together simply to enjoy each other’s company and do what they love…sing.
Amitie has for many years been involved with various regional events including The Parkes Elvis Festival held in their home town every January where they have developed a huge following of fans, of both Elvis festival goers and locals alike.
They’ve also performed at the Trundle ABBA Festival as well as numerous other regional events and festivals and love to support their community whenever they can.
The trio enjoyed rave reviews for their performances as part of the entertainment lineup on Choose Your Cruises Rock The Boat 2015 and 2016, Cruise N Groove 2017 and also the Elvis Meets The Legends 2018 cruise.
These ladies sure know entertain as they perform songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s.
With their amazing combination of tones and fabulous harmonies, they will quickly sweep you back in time to the hits of Dusty Springfield, Petula Clark, Cila Black, Aretha Franklin, Leslie Gore and many more wonderful artists from the era.
Shev, Christa and Christie look forward to bringing their music to Cobar and recommend you wear your dancing shoes!
Australia’s own Man In Black, Daniel Thompson, is bringing his Johnny Cash Show to the Gig on the Grass.
Daniel has been part of the Australian Country Music entertainment industry for more than 25 years.
A Male Vocalist of the Year Award Winner at the Australian Independent Country Music Awards and a Golden Guitar nominated Country singer, Daniel has toured nationally with his Johnny Cash Tribute Concert for over 10 years and performed to well over 60,000 fans.
Also on the big stage line-up is popular local band, Ballz n All, who were a big crowd favourite at the 2019 Grey Mardi Gras Gig on the Grass.
