Small field for clay target monthly shoot

The Cobar Clay Target Club held their monthly shoot in humid and overcast conditions on Sunday.
Among the field of nine shooters were also a couple of visitors, Jay and Joe Webster, keen to see what the sport is all about.
The results from the day were: 20 Target Double Barrel—AA Grade was won by Peter Hosie with a score of 19/20; A Grade—Blake Dunne 20/20; B Grade—Brad Kendrick 19/20; and C Grade—Luke Scales 18/20.
25 Target Single Barrel—AA Grade—Hosie 25/25; A Grade—Dunne and Nick Short (tied) 23/25; B Grade—Kendrick 21/25; and C Grade—Scales 19/25.
25T Continental—AA Grade—Hosie 25/25, A Grade—Dunne 24/25; B Grade—Kendrick 24/25; and C Grade—Scales 23/25.
The 30 Target Handicap event finished in a tie between Hosie and Scales after both shot 28/30.
Earlier Damian Wray and new starter, Jay Webster had been in contention.
In other club news, member Matt Harland competed at the Wagga Wagga club’s two days of Sporting Clays event over the week-end and finished first in B Grade.—
