Roosterettes’ game confidence continues to grow

Brimming with confidence after their big win last week over Coonabarabran, the Roosterettes took it to the Swanettes in their Round 6 Castlereagh league Tag match on Saturday at Tom Knight Memorial Oval.

The match was a very competitive game from the outset with the young Roosterettes team showing no hesitation as they faced one of the heavy hitters of the competition.

Cobar coach Brianna Watson said it was a very good game considering they had to play a few girls in new positions after a couple of their key players went down during the week with illness.

Dunedoo eventually ran out 14-6 winners.

Bridgette Negfeldt was Cobar’s try scorer with Watson’s successful conversion adding their extra two points.

Negfeldt collected Best & Fairest three points with two points going to Taylah Good and one to Molly Carter.

Negfeldt, Good and Neve Carter shared the Players’ Player honour.

The competition has a general bye this Saturday due to the King’s Birthday long weekend.

The following week the Roosterettes and Under 18s sides will head to Binnaway for Round 7.
