Cobar’s Detective Senior Constable Greg McKervey was presented the prestigious Gregory Jackson Award for the Central North Police District Officer of the Year at a ceremony in Bourke recently. The Cobar Athletics & Triathlon Squad (CATS) held their fourth annual Fun Run in aid of Batyr, a preventative mental health organisation for young people. This year’s event, held in memory of Margaret Settree, who was a strong advocate for Batyr, raised $135 from entry fees.
