Musician plans to spend free time and money in Cobar

Orange-based musician, Justin Landers,
will visit Cobar as part of his Free Time
And Money album tour.

Traditional country music singer/
songwriter, Justin Landers, has been working
for the past year on his latest album,
Free Time And Money, which Justin’s currently
promoting on his latest tour.
One of the ports of call on his Free Time and
Money album tour is the Cobar Services Club
with Justin to perform on January 28.
Hailing from Orange, Justin’s rich vocal
tones and heartfelt stories lend a true authentic
country flavour to his music.
Justin’s influences roll out like a red carpeted
list of country greats …Alan Jackson, George
Strait, Glen Campbell, John Denver, Kenny
Rogers, Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton, Merle Haggard,
along with local legends like Slim Dusty,
Adam Harvey, Troy Cassar-Daley and Ray and
Lee Kernaghan.
Justin began performing as a professional
soloist in late 2013 and soon after turned his
hand to songwriting.
He was able to build on the 20 years’ experience
he already had as a performer and musician
with the majority of this time spent working
with the popular Orange-based duos ‘Warp
II’ and ‘Guess What’.
Justin is now a much sought after performer
in the Central West with a prevalent following
of loyal fans who are drawn to his friendly
nature and charm, his high spirited performances,
and his life-inspired original songs
that relate to them on a personal level.
To his acclaim Justin has performed in the
2019 Bedgerabong Country Music Campout
Festival, the Dubbo Country Music Spectacular,
Orange JAM Festival, the Dusty Boots
Festival, Book Orange’s ‘A Night In Nashville’
as well as at numerous corporate events
and venues all over Central West NSW.
Last year he was awarded the Ken Pritchard
Memorial ‘Dusty Boot Award’ for Services to
Country Music in 2021.
Over the years Justin’s had some country
music charts success with his ‘My Old Man’
single, released in November 2018, peaking at
a respectable #18 on the Tasmanian Country
Chart, where it remained for eight weeks.
In July 2019 ‘A Campfire Waltz’ debuted at
#30 and then quickly rocketed to #8 on the
Country Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay
Chart.
Justin was also credited as a finalist in the
Tamworth Songwriters Association (TSA)
Songwriters Salute Awards 2020 for ‘A Campfire
Waltz’.
He was back in the charts after ‘How ‘Bout
This Weather’ was released in January 2020.
The song, which tells of an accidental meeting
in the street after a relationship breakup,
has a somewhat novel tune and also made it to
#8 on the Country Songs Top 40 Australian
Airplay Chart where it remained for an impressive
12 weeks. (The single is still receiving
substantial radio airplay to date.)
‘How ‘Bout This Weather’ was also a finalist
in the Country Rock section for TSA Songwriters
Salute Awards for 2021.
In September 2020 Justin released ‘Be A
Little Kinder’ from his upcoming album.
Written during the height of the first Australian
COVID lockdown, this wholehearted traditional
country song asks listeners to question
their own mortality and actions on various
issues affecting the world at this time and to
consider being a little kinder.
This song peaked at #6 and #2 on the Country
Songs Top 40 Australian Airplay Chart and
the Tasmanian and OzCMR Country Chart
respectively.
‘Be A Little Kinder’ reached #2 in the top 10
most requested songs on Today’s Country 94
One (Nov 2020) and was also a finalist in Traditional
Country Song section of the TSA
Songwriters Salute Awards for 2021.
His new Free Time And Money album contains
10 all original songs written by Justin and

Waltz’, ‘How ‘Bout This Weather’, ‘Be A
