Cobar Community Health staff held an information day and barbecue at Drummond Park on Friday to mark Women’s Health Week. Healthy women make for healthy
families, and during Women’s Health Week, women were being reminded to make themselves and their health a priority. Women’s Health Nurse Rachael Slinger (pictured above with local resident Suzanne Smith) said many women are so busy
caring for their families or with work, that they can often neglect their own health and wellbeing. She recommended that women take the time to find out about changes to cervical screening and to learn the signs of heart disease which is the biggest killer for women. “Be a bit more aware of what those vague symptoms are,” Rachael warned.
