Cobar Junior Rugby League has welcomed a few new faces to their committee, including Leighton Trudgett, who has taken on the president’s role, following their annual general meeting last week.
Outgoing president Graeme Barton, who did not seek re-election, said he was pleased to see so many parents taking an active interest and offering support to the committee.
Graeme said it was one of the club’s best attended AGMs in recent years.
Andrew Hill and Sandra Davey will share the vice president title (taking over from Dean Brookman and Haylee Prince).
Sandra will also be shadowing the treasurer’s role over the next season.
Chris Brown was returned as treasurer.
Haylee Prince has moved from vice president/Under 8s coach/coordinator into the secretary’s role with Tarra Burke stepping down after a lengthy service to the club.
Jade Goonrey will share the registrar’s role with Emma Barton.
The new committee discussed plans for the 2026 season.
