Cobar’s newest Australian Citizen

Cobar’s newest Australian citizen Felicity Dempsey has swapped the ‘Emerald Isle’ and will now call Australia (and Cobar home) after she officially became an Australian
citizen during Sunday’s Australia Day celebrations. Felicity came to Australia from
Ireland 10 years ago and was working at the Tilpa Pub when she met a local boy. Cobar then became her “home away from home”. “I fell in love with Cobar, it has an
amazing small town community, where everyone just becomes like family. Felicity said after all these years, it just felt natural to make it official. Felicity is pictured with Mayor Jarrod Marsden who officiated at her citizenship ceremony.
