Good weather made everything possible

Competitors at the Cobar Clay Target Club’s 25 Target Single Barrel event on Sunday, John Polack, John Taylor, Brad Kendrick, Luke Scales and Mitchell MacPherson.

The Cobar Clay Target Club held their monthly shoot on Sunday with 12 members in attendance.

The shooters participated in a three event program and a clear, sunny day, ideal for shooting, allowed for some possibles (perfect scores).

The first event of the day was a 20 Target Double Barrel and four possibles were recorded with Ross Morris winning AA Grade with 20/20; Tony Polack won A Grade with 20/20; and there was a tie in B Grade with both John Polack and John Taylor finishing with 20/20.

In C Grade, Mitchell MacPherson finished as the winner with 17/20.

Morris also won the next event in his grade, the 25 Target Single Barrel with a score of 23/25.

Dick Tulloh was the front-runner in A Grade with 24/25; Jarrod Barraclough won B Grade with 22/25 and Luke Scales won C Grade with a score of 20/25.

The final event of the day was a 30
Target Handicap with C Grade shooter, Luke Scales, the winner with 30/30. John
Taylor, Brad Kendrick and Mitchell
MacPherson were all hot on his heels but Scales kept his cool to record the win.—contributed
