Golfie bowlers smash Bourke

The Cobar Golfie Bowlers made the trip to Bourke on Sunday for the final round of the 2021 pennants competition.
Despite the conditions being miserable, with light rain falling for most of the game, the Co-bar squad finally found their groove to finish the day with a win.
Don Roberts, Tony Brown, Barry Bargwanna and Aaron Finn took out the bragging rights with a huge 37-5 victory in their match.
They were closely followed by Kyle Roberts, Dave Knight, Shane Carter and Dean McLeod who had another great win, taking care of their opponents 32-8.
Unfortunately the third team of Daniel Holt, Bian Smith, John Daly and Karen Daly (making her Pennants debut) were edged out of victory, finally going down 24-19. Overall Cobar won with a score of 88-37.
Back home on the Golfie greens, the rain scared away the Sunday social bowlers with no games being played.
It has however been reported that Frank Sin-gleton took the opportunity to battle the grass-hoppers and complete some practice ends (about 60 of them). It was said that his form was tremendous, so good luck to whoever plays him this week!
