The Cobar Girl Guides (and a few ring-ins) had a lot of fun last Thursday taking part in an Amazing Race which had them running all over town looking for clues. During the race the teams were required to work out the cryptic clues, carry out random acts of kindness, use weird words like ‘nincompoop’ and ‘underpants’ in sentences and carry out some community service (pulling out weeds at the pool). At their final clue spot they were required to buy something (bread, hot chips and cordial) which they shared at Drummond Park after all teams had finished. Pictured above are the Yellow team of Charlotte Knight, Jake McKervey and Sienna Jones who were the first team to collect their clue from The Cobar Weekly office.
