Cobar’s annual Festival of the Miners Ghost kicked off on Thursday night with a concert at the Sound Chapel, followed by Friday night’s moving Night for Our Lost Miners, when the community gathered to pay their respects. Saturday’s activities included the very colourful Peaks of Colour fun run, cemetery tours and Markets in the Park, with spectacular fireworks over the Open Cut rounding off the evening. Unfortunately, storms put a dampener on Sunday’s festivities, forcing the cancellation of the Mining & Trade Expo and Show ‘N’ Shine
